so happy with this girl

She was born last night about 6pm in the field just as we were ready to bring them in to feed

It was a tough night as the mare has milk only on 1 side

and it took helping help every hour to help her learn where to nurse but

vet was out her IgG is fine over 800. So we can rest a little tonight although I will still

check her every hour tonight at least on the tv to be sue she is getting up to nurse

she is kinda quiet not as bouncy as were used to. but blood was drawn to check for infection also

even though there were no apparent signs, that there is a problem since the vet was there

I said yes for her to check anyway.

We have the fans on as it is so hot tonight .

I'll try to get pictures tomorrow. I'm barn blind but I think she is so pretty.

Congratulations! They are both cute!! We just got to watch the baby get up and nurse around 9:35 central! Too cute!!! This is our first time to see a Mare/Foal cam in action and now I think I have a new hobby!

Our B & W pinto filly is doing great now she is running around and bouncy

so I feel alot better. They are in today because its so hot under the fan hope we can let them out for awhile when the sun goes down an it hopefully cools off and we can get some better pics
