I don't necessarily recommend this but I know of two people who have had A horse come down with strangles and they deliberately made sure the infected horse make contact with all horses so they could then treat the whole herd at once and not have to worry about it again.

Neither place has had strangles show up since.

Like chicken pox and children....strangles can rarely be contained. Rarely is it deadly but oh it is an awfully difficult and long term illness.

And as said, do your beautiful Dreamer last and do give her all the love she needs even tho the vet says minimal touching...she needs it as do you.

Are there any new updates on Dreamer,how is she doing?
We now have the new cam!! She will be back on cam tonight (if the weather holds out) We are supposed to get some bad storms.....Thanks for keeping her in your thoughts and prayers...Theresa
