Ok,
Reading the thread "Wild Bay" I cruised around the equine colors site Jill posted.
Hackneys are by and large Sabino type bays (lots of white, belly splashes etc)
I have a pony gelding, (no I have no pics but will upload tomorrow). He is listed a brown on his papers, while I would call him a black bay. Now Rabicino and Sabino??? He has NO white on his head and one white front and two white hind anklets. LOTS of roaning thru the flank (none at the tail)..what would he be LOL??
On an aside, a very old horseman told me that roaning on the flanks of a horse meant that "that's a good'un". So far I can say, any pony I've had with roaning has been a good'un. (just roaning on flank or shoulder )
