Skowhegan Show in Maine

My mini Locket and I are going and was wondering if anyone else is? I would love to meet some of the forum members there!

I have 2 Mini's and a Saddlebred going up for the weekend. Who's Your Daddy will be in Mini In Hand Stallions/Geldings and Mini Driving. Owsley Fork Sundancer will be there for Mini Driving.

HI Jen, What weekend is that show?? I have a filly you have got to look at she is breathtaking. Kristin, excellent job at the show this weekend!! You and Locket are becoming quite a team.!!!

The show is this coming weekend. July 23, 24, and 25. The Mini classes are all on the 25th, but they offer Showmanship, Pinto In Hand, Palomino In Hand, Horse Colt and Fillies,etc throughout the weekend if you plan on staying and not trucking up for just Sunday.

I'll be there with 3 horses. You really CAN'T miss my stallion. He wouldn't allow it! Just look for the one talking to everyone and walking around like he's God's gift to both horses and people. Some day he'll grow out of his youthful arrogance.

I also have a black pinto filly and a bay pinto colt who will be there.

Feel free to come say "hi"! I promise I don't bite and I love meeting and talking to other people (almost forgot to go into a class at Highview 'cause we got talking LOL). I'll be handling the buckskin stallion and wearing a maroon shirt and gray pants. Boinky will (hopefully!) have my bay pinto colt and be wearing a white shirt and black pants, and another friend of mine will have my filly and I think dressed in black pants and a black blazer.

We are just getting into Mini's and would love to go and see what the shows are all about, we do want to get into showing. Where exactly is the show?

Thanks so much for the info and would love to meet more Mini owners. We haven't met any from Maine yet.

The Showhegan fairgrounds are located on Route 201 north I think but best check with someone else to be sure. Try going to mapquest.com or if you just look up skowhegan fairgrounds you may be able to find good directions.

Enchantress I think I may have seen you before, were you at the show they held in gorham this saturday. You had the two pintos and the lovely buckskin stallion right?

Yep, that was me and boinky. We were going to try to find you to say "hi" but were so wiped out and the horses were hot and tired and we had to show again Sunday so we just left after the colt went into the open horse colts class. Nothing like a 2 + hr drive 2 days in a row ugh! Maybe I'll get to see you at Skowhegan without horse in tow so I can actually meet you! I only do halter (I'm BROKE!!!) so I'll get to at least watch the other mini classes and socialise, my other favourite pastime! Do you happen to have a picture of you and the horse you're showing? I didn't get a chance to see you in the ring and it took a second for your name to click in my head when they announced it.
