I'm really not firmilier with how it works

do you just have 1 chance at a bid or can you counter bid

I don't know the way a silent auction is run

Just tell whomever is taking your bids to walk over and up your bid. Generally a silent auction is writing your name and phone number down with a bid. Then someone walks up behind you and puts their bid, you can go back and add another bid, etc.

The couple times I have done it I just call and give a maximum and a person would counter bid for me up to that amount, they did not jump the bid and in both cases paid less then my maximum would have been.

unfortunately I heard from Robin this morning and they sold the dispersal then listed as Oktoberfest mare

I was wanting last week. Oh well at least I know the procedure now.
