We just brought home our 4 month old colt we bought from Getitia at Buckeye Walnut Creek Farms. He is a beautiful little guy and of course a little nervous of his new place. Our concern is ,however, he is eating the pine shavings in his stall. We skinned the stall immediately. Getitia said to use hardwood sawdust (of course not black walnut) if we can find it in our area. I don't believe there is a sawmill near by.

Has anyone ever used Woody Pet? Do you use another product that you have had success with weanlings not eating?

Thanks for your input.

For a munch-mouth like that, you may consider either straw or a shredded paper bedding.
