The last three months before foaling are an exciting time. That is when you feel the most movement of the foal inside of your mare! I love sitting on a bucket next to Niobe and talking to her foal and feeling the responsive kicks. I think getting used to your voice is the first form of imprint training. Anyone else do this? "Hi baby! See you soon!" She is either due in May or June. She had a weak standing heat in June and a very good standing heat in July, so I will start watching her closely by day 300 first breeding end date. Exciting!

It sure is exciting. I was watering ponies today and as whiskey and gypsy were getting a drink their foals started doing summersaults. Im not sure my mares were as excited about it as I was but seeing the movement was awesome.
