Somewhere in all of the threads we've had going over the last several days, I remember there were a few animal groups that were working to help rescue dogs & cats affected by Hurricane Katrina.

I have several friends & relatives that would like to assist, but I can't find any of the links!

Anyone???

I suggested two shelters which are reputable and are in the "thick" of things. It is on the main board on page 3 titled Hurricane - How you can help.

Lousianna state veterinary university is helping coordinate efforts...they currently have plenty of food (food companies are donating like crazy....I know shelters all over texas are taking in animals and other surrounding states also have opened spaces in their shelters to house animals until they can be hooked back up with owners etc........contact them.......
