Pit Bull Named Year's Top "American Hero Dog" !

The nation’s top therapy dog, a pit bull named Elle (pronounced Ellie) from Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina who helps teach children about dog safety, reading, and overcoming prejudice and stereotypes – something a pit bull knows too much about – has been named this year’s “American Hero Dog”.

This made my day when I saw this in my inbox this morning! It is so wonderful to see GOOD recognition given to a breed that is always looked down upon. Finally a wonderful ambassador for the breed.

That is awesome. Good to see. I am not allowed to keep a pitbull where I live. It's in the lease, but if I were allowed the breed does not scare me and I would no problem.
