I went to Picnik, this week end, to do some editing on photos of my grandson.

They announce when you go in that they are closing the program down

on April 19th.

The nice part is, if you don't have a paid membership all premium

services are free, until they close.

I've really enjoyed it's ease of use since I read about it, on here.

Are there any other user friendly editing programs, online, you are using

and are happy with?

I use Roxio Photo Suite. Right now I have version "8". I don't know if they still make it or if there's a newer version, but I've been using a version of it for years and years and it's easy and wasn't very expensive ($40 or so, I think). I've seen people doing neat stuff with "PiZap", but I don't know how to use it yet...

WHAT??? I have used picnik for YEARS and just love it................

Oh how upsetting, guess I had better start working on finding something new that I like to use. I just renewed my paid membership too, guess I should have waited. DRATS.

I love picnik. Site says it is moving to google+. Not sure what that means. I have a paid membership but I have also used their software on +. Maybe google just purchased them since they were affiliated with flickr which is a part of yahoo. We will have to wait and see what happens.

If you had a paid membership they are refunding your fee in full.

I played on PiZap today.....it'll take some getting used to, not exactly

apples to apples.

I have Photo Explosion but it won't work on my computer..(computer issue

not with their software) I can use it on Michael's laptop but I prefer

my bigger screen on the PC.

If anyone else has other ideas for other online editing sites, it'd be

appreciated.

I still can't believe it....I LOVE picnik and it's what I use to edit my photography shots!

I found this CNET page this morning, with 3 alternative photo editing sites

which 'might' fill the need loosing Piknik will cause.

Photoshop Express editor: http://www.photoshop.com/tools/expresseditor

Pixlr Express: http://pixlr.com/express/ (the one member izmepeggy, suggested)

Foto Flexer: http://fotoflexer.com/

They say this one may be closest to Piknik in features.

*found one more...
