Hi,

Could anyone please find out if jumps are aloud or not aloud at an AMHR or AMHA show? Is there anything in the rule book stating they are or not aloud at these shows?

Thanks you

Stacy

AMHR-No.

AMHA- yes. But I'm against this becuase you can't jump a horse until they are 3. Yet you can show in obstacle as a yearling and two year old. So its best if you are designing them to just leave them out. JMO.

Yep, I'm against it as well because I do show yearlings and 2 year olds in obstacle.

A horse has to be two years old to show in halter obstacle in AMHA. I am OK with it. The jump in halter obstacle is usually shorter. There is a difference between jumping one short jump and an entire course of jumps that vary in height.

I have never seen one taller than 18" in an obstacle class. More often, it is 12" or less.
