Wanted to show some pictures of some of our mares. Two of these I have rarely shown before, but it's not a reflection on what they mean to me

Just had a photo shoot today but sure wish I'd have done this prior to the winter woolies taking hold!

Here is GOLDIE. Goldie has been with me about a year now and is a really nice driving horse and easy on my eyes, too (maybe it's mommy goggles!). She is pretty laid back and total princess. I don't know how she keeps herself as clean as she does, other than the fact that she is the resident Miss Priss:

Here is LOU, estranged wife to Derby. Lou is a favorite of mine. I think a kid could drive her down the interstate and she would not bat an eye. She could turn 360 in the cart until we dug to China! She is very affectionate and very obedient. The unfortunate hairdo regarding her mane is curtesy of Goldie, who grooms right under her mane and breaks the hairs off, but on the happy side, two of my best little ladies love each other:

Here is FIREFLY, who I've rarely shown off. She is so much prettier than these pictures let on. She's the 2nd mare (out of 8) that I ever owned. She came from one of Lyn_J's best friends. Firefly is a silver buckskin dun w/ appy characteristics and is an "old faithful" when it comes to driving. She is 7 years old and the dam of my cremello mare I recently free-leased to a local friend:

Then here is SMIDGEN. Smidgen is surely not a halter mare, and truly is not as FAT as the photos indicate, but whatever... I think she's one cute pet and she is VERY smart!

Lois, I know what you mean. I have to tie them and then I get the "I am so P*ssed Off" look vs. the grazing one!!! Mine are on dry lots so grass underfoot is very tempting. I swear, they can hear the sound of me pulling a handful of grass acres away!
