Sometimes you forget the obvious...like that the new horse is TINY & the trough you have is TALL...
Yeah...had to buy a new one.

300 gallons, its massive! I wish it was summer so I could soak in it!!

So adorable!! I love your little herd.

I just bought my first mini last week as a companion to my old pony. I have a feeling they're like potato chips though, not sure how long I'll last with just one...

I'm supposed to train her n sell her, but...I don't wanna!

I just want to gather all of the wee minis! They're so cute!

And, might as well add it here instead of making another thread I'll forget...

17yr gelding, he's 100% available, if anyone is looking. Hoping to figure out what he knows soon & see what he can learn.
He's been very mellow, no kick, bite, rear, spook, leads fine, so on, seems okay with cats/dogs, low man on the totem pole. Previous owner made him sound a bit crazy, but I haven't seen it. 🤷🏽‍♀️

New guy was let out today and you can add "respects hotwire" to his list. He also met Pavlov and didn't bother her one bit. Ran over to hide next to me when Kasia decided to bite his butt, so, he's a smart sweetie.

Thinking of adding a lot of gravel/dust mix to the top part of their track, where their shelter & water is. Everything is so muddy & no fun for any of us...
Moved nets down the line today, just a tiny bit of mud there...for now...lol

Pavlov & Dunie sharing. 😍

New guy, Oreo.

There's a 6th net past Oreo, probably hard to see.

I let my 4 out in muzzles the other day.
Pavlov was standing quietly by a tree, but Oreo had a little panic attack over "everyone abandoning him".
I caught him by hand and told him to chill tf out. Then asked him to follow me, he did. He then noticed Pavlov coming over and waited by the gate with her. Brought them hay and all was fine.
Just a momentary loss of reality. Lol

Moved a corner of track to make mowing easier, Oreo & the other ponies approved.

Pavlov, on the other hand, didn't want to be near them. I didn't have anything on me to lead her back, so instead, she had her first ground driving experience.
I need to put a big sponge on a long stick, so that I can more gently tell her not to turn to her blind side. I'll eventually figure out a better method, maybe tapping the shoulder, but for now, she needs a more direct approach.
Yeah, yeah, halter n long lines, I know! But lots of my interactions with them is spontaneous.

I have bad news to post.

And I had added Oreo to this thread, which I'll make him his own afterwards.

Admins, could you close this thread, please? IDK how to tag them to see this or do I need to contact them individually for the request?

I'm still not over it, so I won't be replying to any questions. I've never lost a horse before & it's a lot different than loosing any other animal. In par with loosing my first dog.

Pavlov has passed away. She was lost in a freak accident very early one morning. There was nothing I could do when I found her, she had already left us.

🙏 Rest in peace, sweet little girl, you're greatly missed.

Thank you.
I can't believe how attached I got to her in such short a time. She was a sweet little strawberry dumpling.

I am so, so sorry. I lost my little heart horse in late October. Only had her 7 months and she was such a love. It is heart breaking and I think about her all the time. We bonded almost immediately. Take some time to heal and know we are all thinking of you at this most difficult time.

I'm so sorry. I'm there with you, lost one 3 weeks ago. Take the time you need and let yourself grieve. Thinking of you and wishing you the best.
