Congratulations! It’s a lifestyle choice, enjoy your passion. We’re 16 years in and still have a long list of farm projects. I loved that area when I was in graduate school, and no snow to slow you down!

Found a tree stump with pine sap collection drip pans. Last time this area was used for pine tar was the 1840s. Also found stone/concrete property markers from a 1903 survey!
Amazing! That's how old those pans are? Are there still pine trees standing nearby?

Our 3 acres is in Brooksville where we are with the horses and the storm went from directly in the path to south east of us. The new farm in Gainesville was also in the path but as of now the storm should be to the east. We will get some wind and rain but nothing too bad as long as it keep its projected path we will be fine. Thank you for asking. Don't know how to find out if there are others on here in the path incase they need assistance.

So it's been a while since last post. Been clearing land, getting Agricultural exemption, property master plan approved and preparing old house for sale. We are started "barn" remodeling!

So I have 150 feet of fencing to finish before I can relocate the horses! Ran 7000 feet in the last 3 weeks! Most of it property line that will be closed in later for more fields.

Nice looking fence. That must have kept you busy recently.
Keep the updates coming, will you? Happy New Year!

So........ we closed on the property August 26th, we gave the seller 30 days to move. After numerous court dates, almost $10k in attorney fees we just got the keys to the house yesterday January 7th! Now we have to go after her for fees, damages and expenses. She destroyed the house (Google Joe's Apartment) and left everything which will cost us even more. The bad part is she is a process server for the Sheriff's department and thinks she has the right to do this. The absolute worst part is today she threatened me on my property while in uniform and I actually had to call 911 and fire a round to get her to back off! What has this world come to? We had been very patient with her and continued to work the property to get ready to move the horses. I can't even post a picture of what they did because it is that disgusting.
