He passed away today on his 79th birthday. He was one of a kind. The local radio station has been playing his songs all day and taking requests. So many songs and so much talent. The song I really liked was If We Make It Through December.

Let's honor Hag and name some more of his hits you remember him for.

I really loved his music from the beginning until the radio stopped playing his "country" music. Mamma Tried, Okie from Muscogee and your favorite are special sing alongs.

I was so sorry to see this yesterday. Merle is one of my all time favorites. I love many of his songs and at the top of the list all those above but I think my most favorites are Pancho and Lefty ---even though Willie sings most of it, In the video Merles part starts at like 3:20, I'm a Lonesome Fugitive, Today I started loving you again, That's the way love goes, Daddy Frank... gosh I could go on and on. His voice just gives me chills. He was one of a kind.
