Lunging problem

Has anyone else had this problem? my mini will only lunge clockwise, if i try to get him going counter clockwise he freaks out and backs right up against me (he knows its hard for me to get him going with the lunge whip if hes right next to me lol)

My boy knows how to lunge both ways but refuses to move at all. He just crowds me with a silly look that says "No way i'm doing that today".

Yeah the ole if I get close enough she can't longe line me.

My girl does not like to lunge or turn in one direction at times.

They all have their favorite direction. Takes some doing if you are free lunging without a line.. I just keep after them shooing them off with the whip that they aren't scared of one bit of course. Put a line on and try a very tight circle and once he stays that way, lengthen the line but you'll practically have to stay on him like flies on a cow chip.
