We have Zebu and also some very small Dexter cattle

Here are some pictures of the Zebu.

The cow is 32" and the bull is 34-35"

What do they breed these little guys for? Are they used for meet? Just curious.

I don't think they would fill a freezer, because the cow weighs less than 300 lbs.

So no, they are not for butchering.

I guess they are mainly a novelty... for us anyway.

I had been looking for some small registered Zebu for a present for my husband and the man that we bought these from has some of the nicest ones around.

I was able to purchase a bred cow and an unrelated bull and we were lucky enought that the cow had a little heifer calf

I figured these would be perfect for my husband as he is the "cow" person.

And they fit in real good with our horses.

I would like to get a couple more cows to add to our "little" herd
