HAS ANYONE HEARD OF THE POSSIBILITY OF THE LETAL WHITE GENE IN DONKEYS?

I wouldn't worry about crossong spotted to spotted at all. I dont think that ADMS has ever had any verified post-mortems on white donkey foals to know if the lethal white does exist. There have been a few white foals born from spot X spot breeding tho. There is also a frosty/frosted roan gene, which makes donkeys look white but they have dark eyes. These are called Frosted Spotted Whites. Hope this helps a little bit. Shawna, do you know anything about the LWG in donkeys?? Corinne

I raise the BEW donkey's I have a Blue-eyed white Jack and he is bred to my BEW Jenny and my other two grays, and last year I had 3 BEW jennets. So I think my Jack is carrying the gene since he was bred to two grays and the same outcome on the foals.
