Keeping cool on a hot day

Lately I have noticed that my water trought (sp) has be getting low really fast. It has been nice out lately, but still the water was going down so fast.

Today I found out why.

I went out to brush up the horses while they were all up top still eatting their morning feed and found my little filly, KB Fairy Tale (Gracie) having a fun old time in the water and keeping cool doing it.

Got one fot in

Splash time!

...and she's spent.

I have a foal who loves the water as well but she isnt the sharpest tool in the shed.. and tries to get into the water by literally throwing herself into the water buckets only sometimes her aim isnt to good so she often lands hard on her side a foot or so away only to get up and try again
