Hi Gang

Well, sorry I am late on posting her pictures. This is

Texan Star Leopard Midnight Lace (Lacey).

I wanted to get some great pictures of her. She is a beautiful

black and white pinto. Born May 30, of this year. Her Dam

is a Beautiful almost identically mark black pinto.

Sorry it took so long to post

Color? Her Dam is a Black and White pinto, almost identically mark. Her Sire

has blue black leopard spots with very pink skin and blue eyes. We are having

him genetic test and waiting on the results. His first colt is a blue roan we think

snowcap appaloosa. A friend who raises large appaloosa's came by and look at

him and said he is a snowcap appaloosa? They said the other 3 are black and white pinto's. So is she a blue roan or black pinto???

She looks like a blue roan but, if she is to be one, one of her parents must have Roan. Since your stallion looks like | a Leopard I suppose it is possible he is "hiding " Roan. She does not look Black and White- it may be the Appy roan affecting her colour.

Thanks, for help on her color. Blue roan sounds good to me. We are color

genetic testing the sire to see what he is? We do know he is a leopard.

Hope things are great there.

Vicky

There is actually not a lot you can test him for- unless you are involved in the experimental testing in the Appy research in which case LET US KNOW!!!! I would love to know the results if this is the case. Otherwise you can test for Red and Black and Agouti and Cream- there is no test for Roan and no test for Appy patterns.............yet!!!
