An organized show office that knows what is going on. Also - treating you rexhibitors with respect and kindness -- they are spending real money to be at your show so make them feel like you WANT them to be there.

The one thing that drives me crazy is waiting around needlessly. We all travel far to participate in shows. Don't you just hate it when a disorganized management team calls a class to the ring, only to decide that they need a break? So you've dragged your horse out and then find you have 20-30 minutes of down time at the in-gate.

OR -- the ring crew isn't paying attention to the upcoming classes and is slow to set up obstacles or jumps. GET ORGANIZED! have the crew ready to go -- or split the ring in half and set up the course while your halter classes are still going on in the other end.

I think above all this is the most important thing when it comes to running a show. Everything else will fall into place if they remember to treat you like any business would a client with appreciation and respect.
