Howdy all, I am Kyle from Washington state. I run a group called Brave Horse Service Animals, which raises and trains miniature horses as service animals for vets. It is just getting off the ground now, we only have two horses and 4 people on the waiting list. It is important to constantly learn and share so I wanted to join this group. Thanks!

I've had reservations about horses as service animals, because they are prey. Are yours trained mainly for companionship?

I understand where Marsha is coming from. There's a difference between a "Guide Horse" and a "Service Animal", I would think. I also have reservations with the "Guide Horse" idea (ie, for the blind)....But minis can be wonderful therapy animals for vets or for ANY person who is suffering from anxiety. (I have my OWN issues and having our critters is a great help.)
