Hello everyone, I was curious as to how the All Star awards work (AMHR).....I understand how you get the points, but at the end of the year are the awards done by area or how does that work? Also do they just take the top one or top 10 or however that works.............just trying to figure out the details. Thanks everyone!!

They no longer give Area awards--at one time there were results for each area but that was discontinued a number of years ago. Now there are just the National All Stars (plus the Canadian All Stars, which are awarded to those horses that are owned by Canadian residents). The results show the top ten for each class, but only the Champion and Reserve Champion for each class receive certificates.

The 2009 results are still posted on the ASPC/AMHR website. If you haven't looked at those yet perhaps they will give you a bit of info on what awards are given out and how winners are listed.

Thank you! That cleared things up, what is the time period you have to earn all star point? Is it January-December?
