Well, it's been coming. When she came to us 3 years ago she was on eye ointment and antibiotics for her eye problem. She was doing fine with it, wears a flymaks that helps protect it from the UV rays, it hadn't gotten any bigger or smaller, so the vet said just keep an eye on it. Well it has grown this past year, and even more in the last month. Almost half of her eye is covered by this pink blob, it oozes puss (ther is usually a clump on the outside corner of her eye every morning), I clean it and it doesn't get that way until the next morning. The vet seems to think it's cancer and wants a specialist to look at it. She sadi it will probaly need to be removed. I know it's affecting her vison now, but she's still eating, drinking, peeing, pooping and acting like Honey Pie. The vet says she's in good health otherwise. I will be calling the eye specialist tomorrow and making an appointmnet. I praying that she will only loose her eye and that she can go on, she's the only one here at our house now as I sold my other 2 minis. I guess my question to you is do you think she'll need a comapnion or are we good enough for her. Her pen is cattle panel and she knows the bounderies of it, and her other paddocks can easily be made the same way come spring, so I don't think we'll have a problem there. and we walk her all over town. PLease send her good thoughts and prayers.

She will do fine if they do have to remove the eye. Remember Emmy and how well she is doing.

Let us know how she does.....

I had a filly her name was Honey too, that had her eye removed, she did well. At first she circled, then she was fine....Prayers for your Honey Pie

The specialist never called back. So I will be calling my normal vet on Monday to see what, who, or where else we can go/do.
