What fair was it? Is that your neighbor girl showing him? She looks like she had a good time.

Thanks all, the girl is a neighbor and she used him as her 4-H horse this year.

She just turned 14. She and Buddy are friends.

They were in trail, costume, fit and show, and patterns. Got all "A" blue ribbons in catagory, then 2 fifths, a 4th, a first and a first in the beach ball race, she had to carry a huge ball down and deposit in muck bucket without it coming out, thrn race back.

A local football coach took her picture and asked her to come to the highschool games as mascot:) The Chiefs costume was the "CHeboygan Chiefs" high school.

SHE also got her picture on front page of the paper:)

He's VERY ansy and figety ie. takes lead chain in his mouth and pulls on her, nips etc so we have a lot of work to do, but man this boy can move and as she was able to keep up they won the race.

Lost another simply cause he went into a FAST canter and she fell headfirst and let go of him. Hard to run in deep mud in cowboy boots.

All in all she had a great time and bravely wants to try again next year.

Glad to be home, I am now on crutches as somehow muscles gave out and am having body length muscle spasms but am home so I will deal with it for now.VERY painful:(

Cheboygan county Fair is in Cheboygan Michigan for those who asked.

You are so nice to let her use your horse. I bet it is good for both of them.

The pix are wonderful and I LOVE the costume.

Good captions too! Just a heads up, but Buddy might back better if you have the little girl face him and make him move away from her. That is how it is usually done. (My apologies if you did it that way, the pictures make it look like she stood at his shoulder facing forward and backed up beside him.) Buddy is a sharp-looking little man and his handler also looks very professional. You ALL did a great job.

Hope you feel better soon!
