Well, we are home and we did well I think.... Sweet Tart got top ten in youth exhibiting jr stallion with John Eckbold...Carbon got 5th in futurity halter, 4th in futurity roadster, I got Champion PMC Showmanship and res champion halter with Carbon and got Reserve Champ driving with Strut N Stuff, congradulations to Mandy Gough Minihorsehugs on her halter championship with Easter and Driving championship with Beth! Little Indy was the only one of my kids that didnt get a ribbon. Classes were huge! Competititon very tough!! Brought a corgi girl home so I didnt shop as much as usual.
Met Bonnie and hugged her neck, also met Stephanie, Reo, renewed acquaintance with Dr Pam, Laura, Miss Mia who was loving the puppy all week, Wild oak, Davie, and many more Im too tired to rememeber!
Lots of Drama when the groom we hired quit at the worst time on furutity day.... Bruce had a very hard time breathing, Collapsed after a halter class but did his driving classes wearing oxygen and placed very well.
We really want to aknowledge the Lennie Bertrand family for coming to our aid and finishing clipping and bathinge three horses and then showing halter for us the next morning. Josh and Christina were awesome and words cant express how greatful we are!!!!
Bruces trailer was one that was stollen after we had put a few harnesses including the lutke in it. In the time it took for him to run to the store to get a fuse the trailer was gone. Fortunately there was a dealership that had a used bumperpull stock trailer that we could buy to get our horses home!!!!
Will share more later but still have to empty the truck and trailer and pack for the fair tonight.
Wanted to also remember my best friends Rachael Hodges who cooked for us all week and Alice Nelson farrier and now also groom extrordinare who worked her butt and three other butts off to help and then help Bruce drive home. Without these two the whole thing would have been a train wreck!
More later...
