Hi there,

I hope it is okay to post this! We have entered a video contest being run by our real estate agent's company for clients selling their homes. We were supposed to create a video showcasing our home "from a pet or child's point of view". Well, I went a little crazy and brought my mini donkey into the house (much against my husband's wishes...but, well, he was at work that day...).

The resulting video turned out better than I was hoping, and people are finding it pretty funny. The question I keep getting asked is "How did you get him to do all those things?" The answer: PEANUT BUTTER! I had a friend with a big spoon and a jar of peanut butter luring him to walk around the house, so that's how we got some of it -- but lots of the funniest stuff the donkey just did on his own, and I wrote the script around what he did.

The result is now entered in the contest, and we are hoping to get voted into the top ten, because the top ten get judged by the panel of judges. We are currently trying to build our dream home, and winning this contest would be a huge help!

So, I hope I'm not breaking any rules by posting this, but if it's okay, here is the link to where you can see the video and vote for it. You can vote once daily, so if you like it, please vote, vote often, and tell all your friends! We would be so grateful. LINK:

Thank you!

Hi Performancemini,

Thanks so much! Which others did you like? There are two I think are possible "competition" at this point, so I would be curious to know which other ones you liked.

If you think of it and it's not too much trouble, please vote again on another day, as we can apparently each vote once every 24 hours. I just really want to make it past this vote-getting phase and see what the judges think!

So much fun...

Hi Rogie's Maid: Well, I thought that 'Happy Customer Max' was on a close level with yours. Both Rogie and Max did an incredible job of escorting us through the homes and giving exellent commentary on things! I also liked 'Happy Tails, Happy Home'. The music was catchy and the dogs running through the rooms moved you right along. 'Love at Home' was good, showing the family living in their home. Gotta' love the animals though! But Rogie, Max and the two other dogs were my top picks.

Hi Performancemini,

Hmmm, interesting. I hadn't actually watched the one with Max. What a nice home, eh?

The ones I thought were pretty good were the number one and number two videos right now. But hey, I'm catching up...last I checked Rogie was #3 after only two days! I don't have to be at the top, but it wouldn't hurt, I'm sure!

Thanks for your input -- I appreciate it! : )

Voting for Rogie!!!
Thanks again! We're still holding at #3. I don't think most people realize that they can vote once every 24 hours, so thank you for your repeated support. We now have more Facebook "likes" than any other video, but that doesn't affect the voting results. But please don't get me wrong -- I am VERY happy to be in the top three, and even happier that so many people are reporting that the video made them laugh. There is so much that is sad and hurtful in the world...I really like to counter that with something fuzzy and funny whenever I can -- hence having a donkey in the first place! Rogie is such a precious little beastie...follows me around like a dog and always wants to be hugged and cuddled. Donkeys are really different than horses. Would never want to be without either!
