I cannot find a single harness I like for my boy! He is a stout 40" welsh X that had a bit of a woopty-do with the cart (green baby!) and broke his very used older than we are combined harness.

I need something with an open bridle, would like a dual check, in russet leather, under $300. Anyone have any ideas on where to look?

You would likely have the best success posting on the 'Wanted' forum here. You might have a local saddler/harness maker who could put one together for you.

Robinson Harness makes some nice harnesses at a reasonable price. I had one from them in russet. They seemed willing to make some special fit arrangements. Don't have their website right at hand, but a search shold fine it. They're in Kansas.
