I AM CONSIDERING PURCHASING A MINIATURE JENNY AND SHE DOES HAVE A THICK CREST. DOES THIS MEAN SHE HAS BEEN FOUNDERED? IF SO WHAT TYPE OF PROBLEMS WOULD I LIKELY HAVE IF I PURCHASED HER. THE CURRENT OWNER SEEMS TO BE PRETTY HONEST WITH ME AND SHE HAS TOLD ME THAT THE JENNY GETS AROUND JUST FINE AND HAS HAD A FOAL EVERY YEAR WITH OUT ANY PROBLEMS. THIS IS A 11 YEAR OLD JENNY.

THANKS IN ADVANCE FOR ANY HELP YOU CAN OFFER.

I rescued a jenny that had foundered quit bad. She also had a foal every year. (Her before and after pics are on this fourm and the rescue forum) I have a great farrier and between him and my hubby, this jenny is walking without any pain or problems. I would go ahead and get this jenny..as for her thick crest, donkeys are known to get that with too much grain...and not always founder. Donkeys are very easy keepers. Corinne
