The mama is now producing more milk. We were concerned at 1st, even boughht milk replacer just in case. But I am happy to say that we did not have to use it!
Shasta is running around and loves to kick up his heels. The mama is such a good mama, she allows us to mess with her baby any time, but she does keep a watchful eye. He is as cute as can be!!
Shots were given. We were told to use a 16 guage needle.... it looks awefully huge! Is that size necessary? I had to let hubby do it, it just cringes e to see such a large needle! But she has her shots and is doing really well!
I posted pictures in the Donkey area and would love to have you visit if you would like to go see him!
I don't know if it is common, but he has stripped legs and banded ears. My friend calls him a "Honkey" for horse / donkey cross. She is so silly!
