I'm just wanting some thoughts and opinions on fly control. I've been using a product called Bug check by Natural Horse Vet for the last two years. My horses still seems to get those itchy spots on their bellies, the flies still bite their legs, and I don't think the fly population really decreased using this product.

I'm thinking of trying a product called Inside-Out Insect & Allergy Control by Cheval - I've seen it advertised for a long time in my Equus magazine. There's only one review on the company website so don't know what others have thought of the product.

Here's the link to both products -

Bug Check:

Inside-Out -

What's you thoughts on either one?

What products do you use to help your horses cope with the flys?

Thanks!

I've use other Cheval products (not the one you mentioned) and been very happy with them. However, I've tried the natural feed through fly control such as Bug Check and found they didn't work on my horses. I use fly predators and have for years and think they are wonderful. Also use fly masks and sheets and this year, I'm trying the Whinny Warmers for their legs for summer.

Having been using Fly predators with very good result.

If I have to spray, I use Permectin II.... is the best fly spray on the market. Though you do have to mix it up, as it comes as a concentrate.
