First Foal at Erica's Tiny Trotters

I'm a little late on posting this....keep thinking that mother nature will work with me and let me take better pictures on a sunny day....but yet again it's 36 degrees at 1pm and cloudy

So nothing near a glamour shot posted here.....just quick fast snaps in the cold wind...

Clover made changes very rapidly - almost overnight and I was still having some camera issues so I don't think too many actually go to see the "real" birth streaming.....but I think I have the camera problems fixed for the most part and all the rest should be born on marestare....right now it looks to be about another week before another goes and then it will be a like a waterfall I expect of foals....

I went ahead and changed my cameras so that pc's and mac's could view it so I have a different link....

But here she is born Feb 21st at 4:30pm

She is a doll, she's very refined, and is a small one......goregous tiny head, large eyes, with an itty bitty nose and enough expression in person to where you can almost read what she's thinking.

Erica's Cloverbud HOF - 3x National Champion halter mare and Halter Hall of Fame. She is soon to be six and this is her first baby and she is a GREAT mom - loves her little filly and was a pro through the whole pregnancy and foaling.

Cross Country Take My Breath Away HOF - Res. National Champion and Halter Fall of Fame, and is a multi National Champion and HOF producer.

I just noticed in that last picture.......that horse in the background looking (the black/bay mare) is Cloverbud's dam ....Erica's EK Rowdy Lady - looking at her first grandbaby

and I think the next mare to foal will be Erica's Just Behold - which will be a fun one to see......as she's a 5yr old maiden mare, who is solid bay and a FULL sister to Cloverbud and is bred to "Taker" as well.......so by blood the resulting foal will be a full sibling to Cloverbud's filly

I can hardly wait to see Behold's foal. Rowdy has always been one of my favorite mares and to see her grand kids is awesome. I sure am happy to hear I can now watch your cameras with my Mac.

Yep Pam, I tried last year after having a foal born in an icestorm (while in the barn of course) but went two weeks without power running kaglo heaters and barn cams with generators in Jan and having to keep it in the heated foaling stalls for weeks.......to try to get most of my mares to foal March-April to foal hopefully after all the "bad" winter weather yet try to get almost all of them to foal before show season kicks off for me.

But yes I have SEVERAL getting really close
