So much for cameras and my "Breeder Alert".
I have been waking up about every hour and checking 3 cameras in the barn, and also have foal buzzers on the most "uddered up" mares.
I checked at 3:00 and all was well. I checked at 4 a.m. and there was a little foal dancing around the stall with her Mum and 6 other mares.
Due date was April 21st and last year Mum was a maiden who had a tough time foaling. Her little girl last year was our first experience with a "dummy foal"
This year's little lady is "no dummy" She has everything figured out.
I will put pictures on later today.
Mummy is a 29 inch dark bay and sire is sorrel and white homozygeous for pinto.
The baby is a "minimal" sorrel and white pinto.
