I'm trying to figure out how you register my farm name to make sure that nobody else has the name or will use it in the future. I figure I'll reserve prefixes with AMHA and AMHR, but is there something else I can do?

Reserving your prefixes with the registries is the first step. The next step is to contact your state and register your dba farm name within your state. If you have set up a dba with your bank, it probably has already been done.
I'm not sure how you can protect your farm name nationally, though.
