Equine Dentist or Vet

I'm my experience some vets will do dental and others refer you to a dentist. It's all in the schooling they have had and what they are comfortable with. My vet up north in the summer will not to dental. My winter vet down south will do dental. I feel like both the equine dentist up north and the vet down south do equally good work. And yes... My horses are snowbirds. Sadly I am not.
