I have quick question for you guys! If you breed an AMHR Mare with an AMHA and AMHR dual reg Stallion can that foal be registered with both AMHA and AMHR?

I'm asking as I recently bought a mare that I was told was dual reg but come to find out after I've bought her that she's only AMHR. My plan was to breed her for one foal that would be dual registered so we could do twice as many shows in halter, in hand jumping and driving classes in the future.
The mare has been bred a few times before but they never bothered to register those foals.

Thanks for reading!

No. If the mare is AMHR only then the foam can be AMHR only, even if the sire is also AMHA.

If the mare is 34" or smaller then you could hardship her into AMHA, then any foal you raise from a dual registered stallion would be eligible for both A and R

Ahh that's what I thought. Then I'll most likely be hard shipping her with AMHA when I get the chance.

Thank you!
