They are beautiful. I can't have fish anymore... They call me the "fish murderer"... last fish I bought, the guy looks in the bag and says "bye guys, it was nice knowing you", it was then I decided that fish were not my thing, but I sure do enjoy looking at them!

How pretty! I love tropical fish and pond fish. I would love to have a salt water but never have attempted it...lol... Here is my guy Tonto. I also have some Balloon Mollies, tetras and Koi.

Dont have a pic BUT I have 6 monster 2ft long koi and about 200 huge (8"-16") goldfish in my natural pond. Could'nt keep wild fish alive in it so tossed these in and they grew huge and live well!

Oh I love him!

I love your betta and also am a hobbiest fish keeper. It's so much fun!!!

We keep some large tanks and have goldfish, cichlids (now including angelfish), and assorted tropicals. I love the hobby, including the water changes. I change out about 80% of the water weekly. I think our natural well water has been an asset in this hobby.

Here's a short video (about 6mos old -- fish and plants are a bit bigger now) of one of my favorite tanks because I love our Blood Parrot Cichlids. I think they look like living cartoon characters. I like these and our big fancy goldfish the best

Some of the fancy goldfish. These pictures are almost 2yrs old now and, of course, the fish are much bigger and neater at this point. I'm partial to the calicos. I need to take some new shots of our wet pets!

Love your fish Jill! So awesome, I really want a salt water tank, just don't have the time or money right now. Hopefully someday I will have one.

Here is a new picture of Skylar all fanned out...He really is something!

I hadn't either, at least not in person! I've been wanting a crowntail for years but never found one that stuck out, until now

I tried to get some pics of our angelfish with my phone yesterday... not the best. I'm going to give it another shot with my real camera over the weekend, but here's what took yesterday:

Okay Jill, how in the world did you get your parrots to coexist with other fish? My parrot kills anything you put in his tank. I put a sucker fish in there and somehow he disappeared. Tried another parrot and he wouldn't stop attacking it. Granted i love my parrot. He's the most interacting fish I've ever come across. He even kisses you thru the tank.

I'm not sure. Ours have always been in a community tank. They're huge now but haven't ever killed other fish. They really seem to exclusively interact with each other, so maybe that's why it works? Because we keep a "school" of them. I've been told that's why tiger barbs do well here, too. We keep enough that they just socialize with each other. With a school, the aggression is dispersed among the fish vs focused on just one or two individuals. I do think tho that the parrots would eat any fish that would fit in their mouths, so we don't have any that small in their tank. .
