I couldn't find a trail pack for minis that I really liked, and I had a set of Wa-Pom bags that didn't quite fit my mustang right. So I re purposed and made a trail pack for my mini mare. They seem to be really secure and the pad is a real sheepskin, so breathable and very soft. Also non-slip.

Also if anyone had been following how my girl was doing, she's looking much better! Still needs some muscle and top-line weight but getting there.

That's a nice looking set of bags. I think you did great. The horse looks nice too.
 
Nice. The bags on Mercedes in my profile picture are just oversized horse saddle bags. Versa-packs. I can set them her little riding saddle too. They went out of business unfortunately, but any nice big bags would do as pony-panniers
