Had the vet out today for a little girl with diarhea (can't ever spell that!!) I told him I have been giving her probios. He said that was good, but I could save money by giving her buttermilk or yogurt instead. I'd heard about the yogurt, but not the buttermilk. Hmmmm.... just thot I'd share. - k

Yep that is neat , isn't it?

I bought a mare a few years ago whose former owner told me she once in while had to give her buttermilk for her belly. And also my hubby, a pharmacist, knew.
