Does anyone use Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth for fly/pests/wormer control? If so, please share your experiences and recommendations--

I am not an alternative medicine expert, so I will relay information rather than knowing it primarily.

Diatomaceous earth has never been shown in research to help fight worms and should be less likely to help with other parasites.

As it is very similar to sand, some believe that it can lead to sand colic.

What I cannot believe about this is that it supposedly attacks the soft tissues of a parasite, yet does no damage to the interior of the intestine of the host. This always seemed a bit far-fetched to me.
