I took some pictures of Rain today. He was good for the most part when i worked him. Right now he's 1yr and 1 month old. He's getting gelded 7/21/08 so hopefully he will calm down. He's 32.5'' so i can't show him until next year, i hope to get more training into him by then, ha already knows alot though. : P I just edited the pics to correct the size so hopefully they fit.

Edit: hold on, the pics didn't work.

I love his markings. I don't do conformation though. I especially love the pics with the whip. Lunging him must be a blast. Do you enjoy running around him in a circle? Also has he got you doing rollbacks yet?

He won't let me lunge him, if i try he will turn in and rear up and bite. I use to be able to but that was when he was afraid of a plastc bag, now he just attacks it. I also don't like the idea of lunging, i won't get in to that though. All i do for excersising him in in hand w/t/c. then we'll do some obstacles.

What are rollbacks?

I love Rain! He is sooo cute!

He has a nice head, not ultra refined, but by no means course. I love his cute little muzzle!

He has an awsome lenght of neck, IMO. Over all it is a tad thick, but nothing a sweat cant help. His neck ties in lower thank I like and whats winning. His shoulder angle is fairly steep, possibly making his stride short & choppy? Going further back I think he has a nice topline, but I cant always tell because you werent on his "level" In the 2nd pic he doeas look a tad bum high. He has a long back which is not so desirable followed by a low tailset.

He has a nice hip, could be lager, but I like it.

Overall I like him! He has his faults but he is a pretty little guy! I love his coloring!

A rollback is done alot by Western riders. Quarter Horses excel at it. You runn them slide stop spin and race back the same direction you just came from. Great to watch. A friend had an appy that enjoyed doing those in the arena all by herself. We always cheered her on.

LOL, I love the pix of him with the whip! Exactly who is the boss here? Seems he thinks he is. What a look on his face too.
