Winter jackets collecting on all our kitchen chairs prompted me to make a hook board to organize coats by the back door. I crackle painted it using Elmer's glue and latex paint. I'm planning to hang it up this weekend, but I haven't quite decided if it "needs" anything else or if it is finished; what do you think?

Love it just as it is! You are very good at this!

It would also make a great place to hang leads and halters. I see many uses there.

Ahaaaa....I think I see another of these in our future, to put in our garage for this very purpose!

Weather was too nice to work inside today, so hoping to hang it up tomorrow. Thanks for convincing me it is done

My pleasure. This summer I'm going to look into making one for myself. Right now I use nails. Not as classy looking as your idea.
