I would like to have a couple of my minis tested, one of them to find out exactly what color she is and both to check for silver dapple and the dwarf genes. What company is the best? Also is there one that will tell if there are 2 copies of gray?

If you want to test for true grey, I'm pretty sure only UC Davis does the grey test (at least as specific as homozygous or not, AG might be able to tell you yes or no). I believe it's the University of Kentucky that tests for dwarfism, and pretty sure they are the only ones currently testing for dwarfism in the US.

Ah, I thought uc davis only tested for gray not how many copies, but I contacted them and it's not included in a color panel but they can do if for a separate fee. I'll try AMHR, it would be easier to do it all in one spot, if someone does it all.

Animal Genetics does test for grey, and they do have a color test panel, but I don't know if gray is included. They often have a sale in the summer for a complete color and pattern panel for like $100: https://www.animalgenetics.us/Equine/Cost_Dollar.asp
Would probably be worth contacting them.

I'm pretty sure that University of Kentucky only does the dwarf tests, no color tests.

I was wrong Gluck does offer some color testing, but not all colors or patterns are available.
