Color Test Results!

I thought I would share my color test results for one of my mares. I color tested this horse for LWO, Sabino, Red/Black factor, and Agouti. I've included a couple pictures of her so you can see what she looks like.

Here's the results:

LWO/Frame Overo - Neg

Sabino 1 - Heterozygous but does carry 1 copy

Red/Black factor - Heterozygous but is black based but carries a recessive copy of the red gene

Agouti - Heterozygous but carries 1 copy

Do think I should test her for Tobiano and all 3 Splash White tests? She has a bald face, 3 stockings, and one sock.

This picture was take the beginning of August 2012 and that's her daughter standing behind her.

Her daughter has grayed out but has similar markings that you can only see when she's wet but her daughter also has one blue eye. What would you test her daughter for?

I would think the facial and leg white are likely the result of her being sabino. You can test if you really want to know, but personally, I wouldn't bother.
