Color registration ?

For those of you who have miniatures with Appaloosa coloring, do you double register?

I recently got a miniature filly and she has no papers. She is though Appaloosa colored. She is so cute I would like to register her with something.

Depending on her age and height, I believe you can hardship her with the AMHA. But I think there is a decent little fee to go along with it.
