clovite for foal

vet recommened clovite for our 4 wk old foal that has severe knockknee. he wasn't sure about the amount. said go by directions on package. it says 1 to 2 TB for young foal. would you give same for a mini?

Gail that portion if for a full size foal, which generally if you take a quarter horse foal, is anywhere from 200-300 lbs. I would 1/4 that.

To help a little bit... 1 tablespoon = 3 teaspoons.

Since, I have B-size minis, I usually give them 1/3 the recommended dose for full-size horse, so in this case 1-2 teaspoons.

I did a google search for Clovite and it shows that ponies get 1 tablespoon daily so I would say half of that for a mini foal probably...
