Hi I have just clipped my horse for the first time and shes come up with terrible clipping lines all over

It looks horrible.

I was wondering what usually causes this? My blades are sharp and clean as was the horse.

Im using Double Ks.

Or is it my technique?

Any help would be great!!

Thanks

That's probably why you left all those marks. Always go against the hair when clipping!

The first time I clipped, I made the same mistake.. Don't worry, you will be able to go over it, since when you clip with the hair, the hair is cut longer than when you go against it.

Will have another go tomorrow doing that

Thanks so very much for your help!

Also use as long of strokes as possible. Do the back last as this is where dirt is even after bathing. (the back will dull the blades)

We wash the horse spray LIBERALLY with shosheen and then clip while the horse is just a little damp.
