Changing Rein in a Driving Class

When the judge asks for a "Change of rein", what is the correct way to do so?

Also, it is assumed to always change rein on the rail unless the judge specifically asks for a change on the diagonal (in which case the judge or steward will direct the class as to which way to do the diagonal change), correct?

Thank you for your input and for clarifying this topic so that future driving classes can be safer if everyone knows the correct way to change rein.

Basically, you do what the steward tells you to do.
