The results of the latest blood draw show no signs of Lawsonia. I still think it was worth looking at.
We also did another round of baseline tests. The good news is that her protein and albumin levels are now at a normal or nearly normal level. It appears the steriods reduced the inflammation in her intestines enough to allow her to absorb some of the nutrients from her food. I can see the proof on her body too. She continues to gain weight and is "filling" in on her belly, hips and even her topline.
My vet sent the results to the doctor we worked with at the New Bolton Center. The doctor there is recommending another round of steroids. I want to do that and will be talking with my vet about that today.
And that's it for now!
