Attention all drivers in the Northeast:
The Litchfield Hills Driving Club is holding a Carriage Driving Show at Shepard Meadows Therapeutic Riding Center in Bristol, CT on Sunday October 18 to benefit the Riding Center. Judge is Andy Marcoux, show starts at 10 AM.
There will be a division for VSEs (minis), consisting of 4 classes: Turnout (judged 70% on turnout, 30% on performance), Working (judged 70% on performance), Reinsmanship (75% on the driver's handling of reins and whip, control, posture, and oerall appearance), and a Cones Course. In addition to ribbons for each class, there will be Division Champion and Reserve Champion ribbons.
Entry fees are just $10 per class if sent by 10/12 and $14/class after that. The show will be run in accordance with American Driving Society Rules. It is not an "official" ADS event however, and would be a great introduction for anyone interested in doing CDEs or Pleasure Driving Shows.
For more information please e-mail me at [email protected]. Hope to see you there!
